Through her work as a collage and assemblage artist, L. Katherine Roberts continues her lifelong commitment to reflective life. This discipline, paired with an insatiable curiosity and innate interest in pattern and form, has served as the foundation for her creative work. Trained in both the visual and performing arts, Roberts served as an artist and administrator in the performance field for many years before returning to the visual arts, where she began to compose various items into a series of collage and assemblage works. Since its inception, her art has been described as “minimal and elegant,” “measured and mysterious” and “exhibiting a delicate and compelling balance between idea and aesthetic.”
