Debra Vance's artistic journey began after retiring in Old Mesilla, NM, starting with drawing and evolving into her first love—watercolor. She enjoys plein air painting, which sharpens her eye for light and shadow, and continues it whenever possible, even during travel. Over time, her work expanded into oil and mixed media, creating series in her studio based on her subjects. Now based in San Angelo, she hosts studio open houses and welcomes visitors by appointment, sharing her adventures and paintings through her blog and published books.
